I've always had an eye for pretty, shiny things, but it all came into focus during the summer of 2004. My husband was out of town, and a friend asked me to attend a class on making suncatchers at my local bead store. I was hooked immediately, and when my husband returned, he promptly asked, "You spent how much on beads?"
Every piece I make is an experimentation in color and texture. I lay all the beads I could use for a project out like a painter's color palate and let the beads take over from there. I especially enjoy doing commissioned works because they stretch my comfort zone.
